Rotterdam Art Week 2026

For five days, Rotterdam transforms into a vibrant art scene, with more than 50 venues participating in a diverse and inspiring program. Rotterdam Art Week offers a wide variety of art experiences: from high-profile exhibitions and art fairs to open studios, guided tours, artist talks, performances, and pop-up shows.

Art lovers discover work by both established and emerging artists in galleries, museums, and creative initiatives, as well as in unexpected public spaces. Art can be seen and experienced everywhere.

The theme of Rotterdam Art Week 2026 is Connections. In a world teeming with movement, tension, and fragmentation, this theme explores what it means to be connected today. Not only through systems, networks, and structures, but also in the spaces in between: between places, creators, and audiences, and between people themselves.

Rotterdam Art Week sees art as a place for encounters, attention, and shared moments. A week in which connection isn't explained, but experienced—through routes through the city, through conversations, through looking together, and through being present. From March 25th to 29th, 2026, Rotterdam will form a network of more than 50 locations where these connections will become visible.

One of the week's highlights is the international art fair Art Rotterdam, which, along with the extensive festival program, serves as a central platform for international artists, galleries, and collectors. Special art walks will also be organized throughout the city, showcasing contemporary art and iconic public artworks. Artists will open their studios at various locations and engage with the public.
