Persian Autumn's Feast
Let yourself be transported to a Persian autumn celebration in Rotterdam, inspired by Mehregan. Discover the rich flavors of seasonal dishes and the fascinating stories and traditions of Persian culture during an intimate dinner.
A Persian Autumn Festival
Khaan-e Avval is the first gathering in Haft Khaan, a seven-part dinner series by Persian Feast. This series brings together Persian food, culture, and stories around a shared table. The inspiration comes from the Shahnameh, in which Haft Khaan describes Rostam's journey through seven trials. The name also plays with the Persian word 'khaan': a set table where people gather to eat and connect. For our first Khaan, we celebrate the arrival of autumn and explore Mehregan, an ancient Persian autumn festival.
Discover Persian Culture
The evening includes a four-course seasonal tasting with ingredients and dishes appropriate for the season. Additionally, you will hear stories about Persian traditions, food, and everyday culture. Expect a relaxed communal dinner where you can taste, listen, talk, and discover a side of Iran that goes beyond what we usually hear.
