In this unique collaboration, two musical worlds merge into one powerful, genre-transcending experience. The Transformers – a band with (ex)homeless musicians, professionals and everything in between – enter the stage with the brass section of the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra. Together they take you on a musical trip full of poetry, improvisation and pure energy. The highlight is the piece Collectieve Psychose, created from free association, city sounds and the raw rhythms of Rotterdam existence. This concert is not only an ode to the city, but also a celebration of the release of The Transformers' first EP: a milestone full of stories and new sounds. Expect music that grates, comforts, disrupts and touches – from rocking guitars to intimate words from city poet Ching. What starts as a concert ends as a collective experience.
