Kinder Wijkatelier: Stadsdieren maskers

Het Kinder Wijkatelier is a new art programme at het Dokhuis for primary school-aged children (4-12 years) that revolves around a central theme: your environment.

First, we discover which city animal is hidden deep inside you. Are you as super-fast and handy as a city squirrel? Are you as tough and alert as a heron or fox? Or would you rather transform into a mysterious hedgehog getting ready for its hibernation under a pile of leaves? And when the mask goes on, the transformation is complete! In a festive animal parade, we show each other our new powers. Please note! Make sure to register your child separately for each session. You can find the registration links under the relevant events on the programme page. Participation is free and registration is mandatory. The workshops are accessible to children with different language backgrounds and language levels — whether they speak Dutch, another language, or are not yet very proficient with language. We use simple, clear language, show everything step by step, and translate where necessary, so that everyone can participate. About Femke This workshop is led by Femke van Heijningen. Femke works as an artist, ceramicist, and art teacher. Nature is central to her work, both as a source of inspiration and as a source of materials.
