Kinder Wijkatelier: Samen een bos laten groeien

Together we will grow an entire forest on huge pieces of fabric, and then see it come to life as one large installation in the space.

Each of us will draw a large tree on a piece of fabric. These can be fantasy trees, the trees we see from the window, or the trees we remember from next to our house or our school. Who are these trees? Let's give them a fantasy name, how are they feeling today? We start at the roots: how deep do they reach into the ground? Are they connected to each other, are they intertwined? Then we follow the trunk: how thick is it? What kind of texture does it have? Finally, we go to the branches and leaves: how far do they reach? Do they cross each other? How many leaves are there? What shape are they? Ultimately, we bring everything together into a huge collective forest.

Please note! Make sure you register your child separately for each session. You can find the registration links under the relevant events on the programme page. You do not need to register yourself as a parent or guardian.

Participation is free and registration is mandatory. If you choose to buy a donation ticket, you support Dokhuis and help us keep other events free as well.

The workshops are accessible to children with different language backgrounds and language levels — whether they speak Dutch, another language, or are not yet very proficient with language. We use simple, clear language, show everything step by step, and translate where necessary, so that everyone can participate.
