John Kameel Farah - Music for Piano & Synthesizers

John Kameel Farah combines piano with synthesizers and electronics into a unique sound he calls “Baroque-Middle-Eastern-Cyberpunk”.

His concerts are adventurous musical journeys full of improvisation, rhythms and soundscapes, in which age-old motifs come together with futuristic sounds.

Inspired by cultural memory, freedom and Middle Eastern myths, he creates enchanting musical landscapes. Farah studied at the University of Toronto, won the Glenn Gould Composition Award twice, and played with Tangerine Dream and the Berliner Philharmonie, among others. He is currently working on a piano concerto for the National Arts Centre Orchestra (2025).
