Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist João Bosco returns to LantarenVenster! This time he performs in an intimate duo with talented bassist Guto Wirtti. João Bosco's musical career spans more than fifty years — from love songs that barely escaped censorship and in which he subtly criticized the military dictatorship in his home country, to his legendary collaboration with lyricist Aldir Blanc. His most recent album Boca Cheia de Frutas was released in 2024.
Despite the generation gap, João Bosco and Guto Wirtti have a close musical bond. The bassist has been part of the João Bosco Quartet for years. During this concert, the duo will dive into João's timeless classics. Expect a mix of old and new songs, enriched with Wirtti's refined and innovative bass playing.
