In his twenty years of touring, Jeffrey Foucault has become one of the most distinctive and beloved voices in Americana. His refined sound is instantly recognizable for its simplicity and emotional power. With it, Foucault has built a loyal fan base, including luminaries such as Van Dyke Parks, Greil Marcus and Don Henley.
In September 2024, he released The Universal Fire, his first album of new material since 2018. It features a series of energetic performances recorded live in a single room. For Foucault, the album is a personal way of coping with the loss of his best friend and drummer, Billy Conway – who died of cancer in 2021.
