Humanity has made great progress over the past hundred years. Among other things, through medical, social, economic and technical innovations. We live longer, are richer and know more than ever.

Yet, in our time, progress is thought of less positively. Not only because progress also has its dark sides. But also because there are global problems and changes that can give you the idea that we are no longer making progress. Things are not going to get better in the future.

Are the progressive thinkers in the minority today and do they engage in utopian thinking? Is the idea of progress perhaps an illusion of feasibility? Or are the people with a pessimistic view too negative about possibilities to improve the world?
