Het Zuid Manifest - Carola Loves Carlos

Carola Loves Carlos is the second edition of Het Zuid Manifest, an art festival presenting works by more than 40 local and international artists, selected in collaboration with galleries, spread across everyday spaces in Charlois.

Carola Loves Carlos is the second edition of Het Zuid Manifest, which places artworks in everyday spaces in Charlois, from a hair salon and a vacant shop to a theme park under construction. Your journey begins at Rib, where you can pick up a map to explore all the locations accessible on foot.

As you walk through the neighborhood, you'll encounter works by over 40 local and international artists in places where daily life unfolds. This creates a dramaturgy that brings to the surface what was already there, but not yet expressed. Through exhibitions, tours, and encounters at specific locations, you're invited to see Charlois with a fresh perspective. The Taxi Travis service connects you with locals, who will drive you through the neighborhood, sharing their own stories and perspectives along the way.

Carola Loves Carlos, conceived and curated by Maziar Afrassiabi as a program of RIB, continues Het Zuid Manifesto as something beyond institutional structures. The artworks are presented in collaboration with a selection of local and international galleries and institutions from Europe and beyond. Ultimately, you step into a mutual story that continues to unfold within the spaces and gestures of Charlois.
