Groove Beest

Groove Beast is the funky show to introduce children (and parents) to swinging music from all corners of the world. The Groove Beast concert series (BIMhuis Productions) brings together world music, jazz, funk and nobody-stays-still-beats in a cheerful, interactive show for young children and their parents. This Groove Beast concert is with the band Fenix.

At the moment, Fenix is conquering the Dutch jazz stages and festivals with their lively and accessible music. Their songs are full of beautiful melodies, dreamy atmospheres and rousing rhythms, in which electronic and acoustic elements seamlessly come together. Saxophonist Kika Sprangers has developed into a well-known face as a bandleader, composer and performer in recent years, with numerous performances on various stages. The synthesizers and electronic sounds of Robert Koemans are essential to the sound of Fenix, which is further enhanced by William Barrett on bass and Willem Romers on drums. The band is inspired by artists such as Donny McCaslin, Avishai Cohen and ADHD.
