Forgotten Crafts: Nature’s Imprint: Ecoprinting & Slow Art
During this 4-week workshop series with Nihan Elmacı Başaran, we will discover the world of eco-printing. You will learn to carefully transfer the natural colours and shapes of leaves onto fabric. In this way, we will create botanical patterns on fine cotton muslin cloths. In a quiet, zen-inspired environment, we will take the time to slow down and discover the creative power of plants.
The workshops take place on Tuesdays in November, from 10:00 to 12:00. They are mainly given in English, with clear instructions and a simple Dutch translation. Each session lasts 2 hours and is guided by Nihan Elmacı Başaran.
You can participate in all workshops or just a few sessions. Every week we will work with the same technique on fine cotton muslin. Each time you will get the chance to practice with the same technique to create your own unique botanical design. Please register for each session separately!
Participation is free and registration is mandatory. If you choose to buy a donation ticket, you support Dokhuis and help us to keep other events free as well.
