FilmTuin: Little Man, Time and the Troubadour
Every Thursday evening in June, the Eendrachtstuin transforms into an intimate open-air cinema. With the documentary Little Man, Time and the Troubadour, we open the Filmtuin with a poetic journey about displacement, memory and the power of stories.
In June, the Eendrachtstuin will once again open its gates to De Filmtuin — a mini open-air cinema full of carefully selected films. The first screening will feature Little Man, Time and the Troubadour by Ineke Smits, a moving documentary about Georgian artist Sipa Labakhua. After the fall of the Soviet Union, he travels the country with a self-made puppet show, in which his personal history comes together with the stories of others. The film explores themes such as displacement, memory and identity, and asks the question: what makes a place 'home'? The screening will take place in an intimate setting with 35 seats and silent disco headsets — free admission, as long as there is room. Bring your own drinks and snacks and enjoy the film under the open sky, among greenery and community.
