Fami-LIES: lezing over het leugentje om bestwil in de opvoeding

Every parent, caregiver, or teacher does it sometimes: bending the truth a little. To keep a surprise, avoid trouble, or because reality is sometimes difficult to explain. But why do adults actually lie to children? During the Fami-LIES afternoon at Villa Zebra, researcher Rianne Kok from the Erasmus Family Lab shares the results of years of research into white lies and what this can mean for children's development. Artists Lieke van der Meer and Maurice Meewisse explain how they conducted research at Villa Zebra together with children aged 7 to 12 into truth, words, and imagination. The afternoon is intended for parents, caregivers, teachers, educational professionals, artists, designers, researchers, and anyone curious about the role of truth, imagination, and lying in child development.
