Dresi Fu Yeye Theater Rotterdam
Dresi fu yeye is an interactive talk show in an intimate setting, where performances and dialogue come together. This edition is dedicated to Keti Koti. We reflect on the colonial legacy that still influences the world today.
The program is part of a recurring series of Theater Rotterdam in which meeting, connection, healing and celebrating are central. Dresi fu yeye literally means 'medicine for the soul', translated from Sranantongo - a contact language spoken in Suriname and its diaspora. This meaning forms the core of the program: it offers space to talk, learn and heal together around our shared colonial history, in all its complexity and polyphony.
Whether you have been there before or are curious to join for the first time: you are most welcome. Dresi fu yeye invites you to discover new perspectives and to build a future full of connection together. During this evening we hope to connect generations and together shine a light on what has long remained in the shadows.
