Delirious Night
The night turns into a delirious celebration. It reveals itself as a place of pleasure and delight, but can also be confusing and even dangerous. What does the nocturnal hour offer when the daily duties and rules are temporarily suspended?
A group of nine performers surrender their bodies to an ecstatic night of dance and music. Inspired by the anonymous freedom of masked balls, dance manias, strange carnivals and derailed parties, they let their bodies drift on the waves and excesses of unstoppable, infectious and rebellious dances. The performers experiment with alternative affect structures and resonance spaces, while immersing their bodies in a sea of uncontrollable sensations. At times they fight against the strong current, at other times they surrender themselves to the wild waves.
Effortlessly veering between hedonism and exorcism, between joy and sorrow, their bodies thrive in an intoxicating rush of togetherness. How do excess and lack of control affect the actions of the crowd?
