Theatrical journey of discovery
Join us on a theatrical journey of discovery through the hidden cellars of the Koninginnebrug during Open Monument Day Rotterdam. Four round bridge keeper's houses with green hats stand on the Koninginnebrug, right next to De Hef. These four houses form the entrance to a hidden world beneath the bridge. Machine rooms and bridge cellars lie tucked away beneath the road surface. These are places where few Rotterdammers go. And somewhere down there, a treasure is supposedly hidden. At least, that is what Gaby thinks.
Treasure in the cellars
Gaby is determined to find the treasure. Perhaps an old bridge keeper knows more. Or she might encounter other exciting characters hiding underground. One thing she knows for sure: she isn't looking for gold bars or pearl necklaces. The treasure has something to do with the Second World War. You will discover exactly what is hidden there with your help. Will you join Gaby on the search? The Boss of the Nieuwe Maas is a theatrical children's tour by Studio de Bakkerij, created as part of Open Monument Day Rotterdam.
