A full-evening concert in Oude Kerk Charlois featuring beautiful songs and piano works themed around fairy tales, fables, dragons, and princesses. An evening full of music, poems, and magic.
Spanish pianist Lucía Álvarez Núñez and Dutch mezzo-soprano Maite Cathérine de Wit take you on a journey full of (folk) tales with music from all corners of the world. A fairytale evening with princesses, dragons, fables, and dark encounters, strung together by short stories from the musicians and beautiful poems. Maite Cathérine sings in various styles (classical, folk, and Dutch) and in no fewer than 11 different languages, and Lucía plays beautiful works by Robert Schumann and Claude Debussy. The warm atmosphere of the Oude Kerk in Charlois adds a touch of magic to the evening.
