Codarts Jazz & Global Sessions: Trio Magioncalda, Nunes & Fongaro

Trio Magioncalda, Nunes & Fongaro

Simone Magioncalda (guitar), Gonçalo Nunes (drums) and Alessandro Fongaro (double bass) form a trio in which interplay and improvisation are central. Inspired by musicians such as Paul Motian, Bill Frisell, Marc Johnson and Joe Lovano, they perform a repertoire of original compositions, supplemented by a selection of personal favorites. By constantly embracing the moment and its vulnerability, a musical conversation full of rich timbres and dynamic contrasts emerges. In this way, they create space for the unexpected, while melody always serves as a compass.
