Women supporting each other. Sounds good, but how good are we at that, really? Suppose another woman gets exactly the opportunity you were hoping for. Are you happy for her? Or do you secretly feel something gnawing at you? Perhaps both. Very human. We know the comparisons, the competition, and the infamous crab bucket mentality. But why should we see each other as competitors, when we can get so much further together? What if we encouraged each other more often instead of comparing? Celebrating each other's successes, sharing opportunities and contacts, and opening doors for one another. Even if we aren't where we want to be yet ourselves. During the second edition of Café Zusterschap, we will talk about ambitions, jealousy, competition, and wishing each other well. About what sometimes holds us back, but above all about how we can help each other move forward. Pull up a chair! You don't need to know anyone, have a strong opinion, or know exactly what sisterhood means. Come as you are. With your stories, questions, curiosity, and your own view on life. Because a city in which women know, understand, and help each other further, starts somewhere. As far as we are concerned: at a long table, with a good cup of coffee.
