Bryzantium HZT / Abattoir Fermé
In Byzantium we see one restaurant, but in two completely different worlds. Is it now and a hundred years ago? Or is one on this earth, and the other on an alien planet? What the hell is wrong here?
Byzantium; a restaurant named after the largest and most prosperous city in the Old World. Once the door was packed, now the expiration date has passed. Think old pans, blunt knives and a chef with hair loss stirring the soup. An owner who fries her own liver and ancient waiters at the oxygen tank. A performance about bad nostalgia, gastronomic phobias, but despite everything also mouth-watering desires.
