Black Dog - Film&Ontbijt

In Black Dog, director Guan Hu shows how economic developments reach the edge of the Gobi Desert and influence daily life there too. On the eve of the Beijing Olympics, Lang (Eddie Peng) tries to get his life back on track and forms a special friendship. The silent Lang (Eddie Peng) returns to his birthplace on the edge of the Gobi Desert after his captivity. He starts working for the local dog patrol, which has to drive the stray dogs out of the city before the 2008 Olympics begin. Lang is fascinated by one of the dogs they have to catch. He feels an unlikely bond with this impressive, black dog (Xin). While Lang is caught up with his past, he forms an exceptional friendship with Xin.
