Award Ceremony met concert Tarab Koor

The Closing Ceremony of the Rotterdam Arab Film Festival will take place on June 1st in LantarenVenster and will be concluded with a concert by the TARAB Choir. During this evening, awards will be presented to films, makers and actors who have contributed to the festival. The special concert by the TARAB Choir will follow immediately after the award ceremony, which will close the festival in a musical way.

The TARAB Choir, founded in 2018 by Maestro Majed Sarai Edin in Rotterdam, is dedicated to reviving classical Arabic music, with a focus on Muwashahat and Qudud. With over 30 members from seven different nationalities, the choir reflects a harmonious mix of cultural diversity.

Under the direction of Maestro Majed Sarai Edin, the TARAB Choir has performed at prestigious concerts and internationally recognized events. Their authentic and profound performances contribute to the worldwide appreciation of Arabic musical traditions. As a cultural bridge, the choir combines technical precision with emotional expression and continues to be a major player on the international music stage.
