ARTHA Illusionary Rockaz Company / Shailesh Bahoran
In ARTHA, choreographer Shailesh Bahoran and six dancers explore what carries movement. Not the technique, not the form — but the intention behind it. What makes a movement convey something? What gives language its charge?
The six dancers — Elise Richards, Alysha Thompson, Deion Holwijn, Raoul Gravenbeek, Nouel al Idrissi and Skeyenno Talany — are not just on stage as performers, but as creators. Their individual stories, their own quests for meaning, form the raw material of the performance. Bahoran's working method starts from content, moves through the body and seeks inspiration — and that process is visible to the audience in ARTHA.
