Ari Colares is one of the greatest traditional Brazilian percussionists and has been a leading researcher of Brazilian rhythms for over forty years. He has collaborated with greats such as Monica Salmaso, Yamandu Costa and even Wynton Marsalis. During this concert he will be accompanied by Chieko, a versatile cellist and singer with Brazilian-Japanese roots, and by Juliano Abramovay, a guitarist and oud player with a penchant for improvisation and Mediterranean influences. Together they will bring a program full of original compositions, refreshing arrangements and rich musical textures.
