The largest film festival about architecture and the city is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and is therefore going all out: AFFR is looking back but also ahead, with film classics, debates, immersive media and more!

AFFR celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and is going all out! The festival looks back but also forward - with retrospectives, debates, film classics and immersive media.

In addition, AFFR will again present a wide selection of feature films and documentaries during the festival in October 2025. Films at AFFR are not only about architecture and architects, but about issues that affect everyone: housing shortages, overtourism, migration, climate change - the entire world shaped by people, from border walls to gentrification. In doing so, we like to show you unknown angles and stories, and thus offer a new perspective.

AFFR 2025 will take place in October at LantarenVenster and Theater Rotterdam/Schouwburg, and throughout the year at various locations in the city.
