Judy, Violet, and Doralee work at an office where their arrogant and sexist boss, Frank Hart, calls the shots. When the three women discover that he is disadvantaging them in various ways, they fantasize about how to get revenge. A series of misunderstandings sets their plan in motion, and eventually, the women take matters entirely into their own hands. As they try to sideline their boss, they discover that their ideas can actually make the office a lot better.
