This film program is presented as part of the launch of a three-day Swimmable Cities Summit in LantarenVenster, hosted in collaboration with the City of Rotterdam. Profits from the Community Film Night will go towards Swimmable Cities' work in championing inclusive access to safe and healthy urban waterways. Swimmable Cities x World Water Film Festival x LantarenVenster Everyone is invited to attend an evening of water based films that celebrate urban swimming culture and community connections to water. Curated by New York based World Water Film Festival and the international team at Swimmable Cities, the cinematic treats range from the Living Waters by Amsterdam based filmmaker Lisa Frey to London based Swim Dem Crew who have been focused on making swimming more inclusive, less solitary and more social. The Right to Swim is championed by Slovenian endurance swimmer Martin Strel, The Outdoor Swimming Society and the film Take Care Tar Creek which gives a voice to this Oklahoma river. The 1 hour series of short films will conclude with a panel discussion featuring the curators and leaders from the international urban swimming movement.
