The Vroesenpark is a real city park.
Stork looking for food here
The park was built in 1929 directly opposite Diergaarde Blijdorp along the Vroesenlaan. The stork that breeds at Diergaarde Blijdorp comes here every morning to look for food. In the Vroesenpark there are large lawns where you can run and play endlessly. You will also find playground equipment and a fish pond.
Rotterdammers like to gather here with blankets, picnic baskets and barbecues. Or they pull up a chair in the Vroesenpaviljoen for a bite to eat and a drink. In the summer, festivals are regularly held in the Vroesenpark.
