Laurenskerk Rotterdam

In the past, the Laurenskerk was located on the Rotte river, which was the cradle of Rotterdam. The imposing church was built between approximately 1449 and 1525 and is the only remaining late Gothic building from originally medieval Rotterdam. The images of the church, which was badly hit during the Second World War and its subsequent reconstruction, became a symbol for the fate of the city and its residents.

The images of the church, which was badly hit during the Second World War and its subsequent reconstruction, became a symbol for the fate of the city and its residents.

Nowadays, the Laurenskerk is a striking appearance among all the architectural new buildings. The church has a beautiful museum design and, in addition to church services, concerts and tours, conferences, fairs, dinners and other business and ceremonial meetings regularly take place. With simple means and light effects, the church can be transformed into a fairytale setting. There are no fixed seats (benches), so the Laurenskerk can be divided as desired for small or larger groups. In a theater and concert setup, a maximum of 1,200 people can be seated, during a dinner there is room for 150 to a maximum of 1,000 seats. In-house catering is available, but we can also collaborate with other caterers.

The Laurenskerk is approximately a 5-minute walk from Blaak metro and train station. The nearest parking garages WTC-V&D and Markthal are also about a 5-minute walk away.
