Euromast

The Euromast is the iconic landmark of Rotterdam and the tallest observation tower in the Netherlands. The 185-meter-high tower stands on the Parkhaven, on the edge of Het Park and the Maritime District in the center of Rotterdam.

Maaskant's World Wonder since 1960

Architect H.A. Maaskant designed the Euromast for the Floriade of 1960. Since then, Rotterdammers and visitors have climbed to the top for the view over the city center, the Maas River, and the world port. The tower is a regular participant in Rotterdam Architecture Month and Open Monument Day. On King's Day, during the World Port Days, and on New Year's Eve, the tower offers a front-row seat to the city spectacle.

From Colourful Rotterdam to a height of 185 meters

The visit begins on the ground floor with 'Colourful Rotterdam': an interactive spectacle full of light, music, and city stories. Afterwards, the Euroscoop, a rotating glass-floored elevator, takes visitors to 185 meters. Along the way, a special soundtrack by DJ Oliver Heldens plays. At a height of 100 meters, the restaurant serves lunch, dinner, high tea, and high wine with a view of the skyline. The two high-altitude suites are popular for a unique overnight stay or a marriage proposal.

Highest abseil in Europe

On summer weekends from May to September, the Euromast transforms into an adventurous arena: Europe's highest abseil starts at the top. Those who prefer to keep both feet on the observation platform visit the tower during peak season for the sunset over the Maas, one of the most photographed moments in Rotterdam.

Accessibility

The Euromast is located on the edge of Het Park, at the Parkhaven. Tram line 8 stops at the Euromast stop, a few minutes' walk away. Coolhaven metro station (lines A, B, and C) is a ten-minute walk away. By car, the Euromast is accessible via the Maastunnel or the 's-Gravendijkwal. Paid parking is available in the Erasmus MC parking garage and on the street in the immediate vicinity. Water taxi 30 stops at the Parkhaven.
