Rotterdam illustrator and artist Tomas Schats is known for his work for NRC, among others. He will present a new art object during OBJECT: Erasmusbrug Schommel. With this minimalist and elegant design, Schats translates De Zwaan into a light-footed object that brings together movement, simplicity and poetry.
The Erasmus Bridge has been the city's iconic landmark since 1996: a widely appreciated symbol of progress, architecture and connection between North and South. In the miniature version, the bridge takes on a new, surprising meaning. The rocking element creates a playful object that tells the story of a city that keeps moving and connecting. The object can be ordered via this link.
