Striktly celebrates 10th anniversary and launches crowdfunding for Shine Festival

Every Tuesday night, Striktly organises a dansavond where lovers of salsa and bachata can dance outdoors on the Stadhuisplein. The 10th anniversary will be celebrated on September 29. Striktly also organises Shine, on 2 September the crowdfunding for the 2026 edition will be festively launched with hundreds of dancers and visitors. The campaign will run until 10 October. If the crowdfunding succeeds, Shine should take place again in the Afrikaanderpark in the summer of 2026.

"Dance transcends language, origin and age. When you dance together, walls and prejudices fall away. We want to make that feeling accessible to everyone at Shine Festival," says Cammy Breeveld, founder of Shine Festival. ''With this crowdfunding we are making that difference: it allows us to invest now in a festival that shows Rotterdam and far beyond how living together is possible too."
