Jack Daniel's and Franky Sticks unveil exclusive jacket as ode to music

Jeroen Veenstra

Rotterdam-based artist and DJ Franky Sticks has designed a workwear jacket at the request of Jack Daniel's. The jacket is a tribute to the countless musical creators who set the tone and can be won exclusively through a special win campaign.

After a successful partnership with Rotterdam-based WOEI in late 2024, Jack Daniel's is shifting its focus to music. Born in Tennessee, the birthplace of genres such as blues, country and rock and roll, the brand has been intertwined with music culture for decades. Both backstage and on stage, Jack Daniel's is an icon. That legacy now gets a modern translation in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist and DJ Franky Sticks, who weaves his colourful energy into a jacket that is both functional and bold. A richly detailed statement piece, and a tribute to a language that transcends all boundaries as a universal unifying force: music.

A design full of details

The premium workwear-style winter jacket is made of sturdy canvas and has a boxy fit with thoughtful, functional details such as illustrations on buttons, unique patches and embroidery. Even the lining is illustrated.

Each element of the Studio Jacket tells a part of the story. The embroideries and illustrations allude to the rich DIY tradition of festival culture. For example, the bird on the chest symbolises freedom, movement and boundlessness.

Unexpected connections that only music can create

"This jacket is an ode to the magical, unexpected connections that only music can create. From strangers becoming friends for life on a festival meadow, to the sounds that bring us together where words fall short. Music, deep down, releases something in all of us," says Franky Sticks.

Kya de Booij, Senior Brand Manager Jack Daniel's vukt: "Music is in the DNA of Jack Daniel's and has been our common thread for 150 years. Therefore, as a multi-talented designer and artist, collaborating with Franky Sticks is a logical choice. His energy and eye for detail are a perfect match for Jack Daniel's, and that is reflected in this design."
