The exhibition: The Mystery of Banksy - A Genius Mind attracted more than 3.5 million visitors in cities such as Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. From January 23 to May 10, the makers will present a new pop-up exhibition about street art legend Banksy to the Netherlands for the first time. House of Banksy Rotterdam - An Unauthorised Exhibition can be seen at Las Palmas on Kop van Zuid. You can already register for ticket sales via this link. From 17 December, tickets will actually go on sale.

Banksy is probably the most famous and mysterious artist in the world. It is estimated that the approximately 50-year-old graffiti artist, born in Bristol, has managed to keep his identity a secret to this day. His works not only conquer the streets internationally, but also the auction houses. He is currently considered one of the most expensive contemporary artists.

Las Palmas is the venue for the presentation of more than 150 iconic works by the celebrated artist. This makes the exhibition probably the most comprehensive presentation of Banksy's art to date in Europe and clearly sets it apart from all previous exhibitions on the icon. Graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations and prints on diverse materials such as canvas, fine art paper, wood, aluminium, plaster, concrete and brick have been reproduced and curated especially for this exhibition.

Visitors will thus get a comprehensive insight into the artist's complete oeuvre. Due to his anonymous status, this tribute and the visual installations on display have not been authorised by the artist himself. The special art experience has been curated by Virginia Jean, a young curator and gallery owner from England who lives in Berlin.

Unpolished, direct, a touch cheeky, but always with heart

Daniëlle van den Beemd, director of organising The Experience Link, says: ''We are excited to launch House of Banksy - An Unauthorised Exibition in the Netherlands. Banksy's work has the same attitude as Rotterdam. Unpolished, direct, a tad cheeky, but always with heart. That's exactly what we want to make tangible in Rotterdam. House of Banksy - The Unauthorised Exhibition promises an artistic journey full of contrasts: confrontational yet comforting, humorous and raw, abrasive and heartwarming. Whether you are an art lover or just curious about stories that touch the city, this is not to be missed."
