Yoroboshi: The Weakling Satoko Ichihara / Q

Although in the original version children are abandoned, sick people are discriminated against and everyone is ultimately redeemed, Ichihara's thinking extends far beyond this tragic story and the mere contradiction between good and evil. A cast of sex dolls, mannequins and other creatures embody people, their fate, desires and violence. Actress Sachiko Hara guides us through the story as the narrator (gidayu). Experimental musician Kakushin Nishihara combines the traditional sound of satsuma-biwa, noise and electronic music into an extraordinary soundtrack for the piece.
