YĪN YĪN

Ticket sales start on Friday April 5 at 11:00 am. Global psych rockers YĪN YĪN are at the top of their game and take you to unknown territory! In January this year, their third album Mount Matsu was released on Glitterbeat Records. The band is influenced by the earthy music culture of Japan, China and Thailand and sails through the cosmos on imaginative sound waves. The album Mount Matsu reflects that special world and results in infectious, danceable and very energetic music made by four friends.

Yīn Yīn comes from Maastricht and made her debut in 2019 with the Thai psych rock-influenced album The Rabbit that Hunts Tigers. The more spiritual and cosmic-sounding The Age of Aquarius was then released in 2022. In terms of sound, Mount Matsu is somewhere between the two first albums. Yīn Yīn is influenced by traditional instrumental music of Sōkyoku, plays vintage synthesizers and a traditional Chinese string instrument, the guzhen. They mix that with a touch of city pop. Expect warm and sticky-sounding psychedelic disco, cool global funk, electronics and tribal experiments!
