An enchanting dance and music performance about the journey to Yanasei: Surinamese for the afterlife. Imaginative and colorful, with live singing and modern variations of traditional Surinamese music.
A boy suddenly wakes up in a mysterious, unknown place. He discovers that he has ended up in the vestibule of Yanasei — a magical world, full of strange creatures. At first he is afraid of everything that is new and wants to go back home. Slowly he gets to know the country and makes new friends. But even in this world there are fools and setbacks. Before he finds peace in Yanasei, he will first have to deal with something from the past that continues to haunt him.
