Workshop door Victor Luis van Es

While writing we investigate how to develop a good joke. We explain terms such as Set-up, Punch and the well-known One liner. During the first part, everyone writes a text that will be practiced and played in the second part.

The second part consists of performing your own material. How do you stand on a stage? How do you handle the microphone? How do you tell your jokes in such a way that the audience laughs? Ultimately, you can show your material on the stage of Comedy Club Haug, amplified and in the spotlight. Like a real comedian.

This all-round experience from start to finish gives a little insight into how it works to make jokes and play like a real standup comedian does. Everything is supervised by a comedian or director affiliated with Club Haug.

Victor Luis van Es

Victor reached the final of the Cameretten Festival in 2016. The Volkskrant said: “In all its simplicity, the most beautiful and daring story of the evening.” Now he is in the theaters with his first full-length programs in which he tells his stories with the same openness and sincerity.

Victor is a regular at Comedy Club Haug.
