Wings of Desire

The British duo Wings of Desire's makes post-punk, decorated with a truckload of dream pop glitter. To sum it up by putting together a few quotes: “Wings of Desire cite the '00s indie scene and '80s Factory Records as primary influences, and you can definitely hear a bit of New Order” (Brooklyn Vegan, 2022), “it's a bit like Bruce Springsteen had a mid-'80s Jesus And Mary Chain phase” (Stereogum, 2023). The music is somber and melancholic, yet easy and hopeful. The perfect combination of dark and light, like a goth bathing in the sun with pink sunglasses on.

Over the span of a year, the duo released a string of singles that always left listeners wanting more. Until their debut album Life is Infinite was released in early December 2023. This album revealed the true essence of the duo, the hopeful desire that is modern, timeless and unique, but at the same time connected to so many great artists in history.
