Wensley Piqué | Rose Stories Odo

The inhabitants not only live in nature, but especially with nature. They draw on the power of the jungle and have a deep connection with it. The 'spirits' of their ancestors are their life guides.

On stage, Piqué sketches the historical context of these communities in a fragmented manner: transatlantic slavery, kidnappings from Africa, resistance and immense resilience. He uses images that he films and projects live, shadow play and soundscapes to enhance the experience. Experience it.
