Organist Wouter van der Wilt performs a varied program around the theme of Pentecost, with music from Bach to Reger and a contemporary improvisation. A musical journey full of fire, breath and inspiration on a monumental organ.
Under the title Fire & Breath, organist Wouter van der Wilt takes you on a musical journey through the centuries, inspired by Pentecost. The program includes works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Reger, among others, with the monumental Choral fantasy über Hallelujah! Gott zu loben by Max Reger as the highlight. A contemporary composition about Veni Creator by Bram Beekman, Van der Wilt's teacher, and an improvisation on a Pentecost song will also be performed. The richness of the sound of the Van Vulpen organ and the special acoustics provide an intense listening experience. Visitors can follow the organist live via a projector and screens. Admission is free; afterwards there will be a collection and an opportunity for coffee and meeting.
