Vrijheidsmaaltijd bij Dokhuis

On May 5, the whole of the Netherlands gathers for a Freedom Meal. You are also welcome at the table at Dokhuis. Here you will meet new faces, we connect through the stories we share about freedom and lack of freedom, and strangers slowly turn into acquaintances.

Eating together and sharing stories

You are warmly welcome to the Freedom Meal at Dokhuis. Sitting together at the table, you will get to know new people and their stories. This communal meal offers space to listen, share, and experience the meaning of freedom together. Strangers become acquaintances, connected by the conversations you have about freedom and lack of freedom.

Making room for freedom and less food waste

This evening centers on 'making room for freedom'. You will reflect on who has made space for you to be free. You will also consider for whom you can create that space. Additionally, Dokhuis is opening the BUURTKOELKAST , a new initiative to combat food waste. The opening will be celebrated with the 'Survival of Foodwaste Show', a playful performance by Theater in Context . You will battle the Food Waste monster together and discover creative ways to prevent food waste. Join in and win tasty prizes! Pull up a chair for a cup of freedom soup and celebrate freedom together.
