In the heart of New York, an architectural masterpiece by the architecture firm REX is rising. Portuguese marble is used for the facade. Using the latest technologies, marble tiles are processed, scanned and then assessed one by one for the facade composition before they cross the Atlantic Ocean. Filmmakers Ghinițoiu and Mori poetically portray the time-consuming design process and logistical challenges, so that in addition to admiring this beautiful arts center, you cannot help but wonder: is it all worth it?

The disused quarries on Menorca were used as a waste dump for a long time. Sculptor Laetitia travels to Menorca as a young student and becomes fascinated by these sculptural landscapes. She decides to focus on the quarries in her graduation project. Her thesis was the beginning of her mission: to label the quarries as heritage. After years of struggle, stonemasons, government and tourists all see the beauty of these excavated landscapes. The documentary follows Laetitia and stonemason Toni, who slowly digs out his quarry until he can go no further.
