Uğur Yücel Neyzen Tevfik HİÇ (Turks) Turks

The famous Turkish actor Ugur Yücel returns to the stage after years. He plays the piece 'Hiç' ('nothing') written by the poet and satirist Neyzin Tevfik.

Some see this writer as a madman, others see him as a saint in the pub with a wandering soul. He was a wanderer on his own path... the king of nothingness, Neyzen Tevfik. He fought against injustice and oppression, ignored social rules. He was headstrong and stubborn, but his life ended in the insane asylum.

The play follows the emptiness in the writer's worlds. Sometimes wandering like a man possessed, drinking and balancing between a saint and a madman. Sometimes between friends with anecdotes and satire. He wanted to fathom the depths of life with his poetry and satire.

Come see this special performance by Uğur Yücel.

Please note: Turkish spoken.
