TRUT - Club Lam

This is the raw story of Gertruid Bolwater, who takes on natural disasters and a world that would rather party than listen. In her head she struggles with three impulses: the optimist - who wants to lose herself in the party atmosphere, the watchman - who wants certainty first and the fighter - who defies injustice with all his might. But who listens to a 'hysterical woman' who warns of disaster?

Trut is a tragicomic performance about the environmental crisis, female leadership and how strong women have been silenced throughout the ages – even when they are trying to save the world. Club Lam is back in Walhalla and brings a fiery ode to women who take on the thankless role of new leadership. It is a call to no longer watch, but to rise up together.
