The Tingvall Trio consists of a Swedish pianist, a Cuban bassist, and a German drummer. Their energetic acoustic jazz has been compared to the music of the Esbjörn Svensson Trio (EST), the groundbreaking Swedish piano trio.
The band's driving force is pianist Martin Tingvall, who writes all the music. His catchy, clear melodies take you on a journey unexpectedly interrupted by intense bursts of energy.
The contemporary grooves betray the rock and hip-hop background of drummer Jürgen Spiegel and the Cuban origins of bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo.
Tingvall Trio is coming to LantarenVenster for the fifth time. This time to showcase new music from their 2025 album PAX . With a world rife with tension, they convey a message of peace through their music.
