Thjum Arts - Hoe Heeft Het Zo Ver Kunnen Komen (try-out) try-out

I have a problem with those situations

Do you remember Thjum? He made his debut in Walhalla with Tijdloos Genot. After first winning both the jury and audience prizes of the Cameretten Festival (in 2021).

And now he's back. With his second performance How Did It Come To This? For this show, Thjum takes stock. Because there's quite a bit going on at the moment. All those situations. There's something about those situations. Sometimes you wonder: how did it get to this point? Thjum often has that. That is why it has become the title of his new (second) performance.

In the press

“Arts' greatest strength is its authenticity. There is no bravado or boasting, no excessive or unnecessary acting. He is not looking for a laugh, but takes the beatings with patience.” - Theater newspaper

“No one played so deftly and intelligently with our expectations.” ….. “Thjum has a divine dance in his legs.” ….. “his facial expressions are disarming.” ….. “Philosophy, sociology and spirituality in one, without the humor losing its power: only a few comedians have that.” - Jury Leids Cabaret Festival

“His program wasn't just about depth, it had it.” …. “He paid tribute to silence and made a plea for real contact.” - NRC

“Slow cabaret in which Arts won everyone over with his funny facial expressions and choreography.” - Jury Camerets
