The Wild Robot (OV) OV
From DreamWorks Animation comes a new feature film based on the New York Times bestselling children’s book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. This spectacular adventure follows a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, aka “Roz”—on her journey. After being shipwrecked on a deserted island, she must survive in the wilderness, slowly bonding with the island’s animals and even taking care of an orphaned goose. The original version features Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o (Us, The Black Panther films) as robot Roz; Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as fox Fink; Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek, Best in Show) as opossum Pinktail; Oscar® nominee Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Heartstopper, Rocketman) stars as Brightbill, a gosling, and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fall Guy) as Vontra, a robot Roz encounters on the island. The film also features the voices of Emmy winner and pop culture icon Mark Hamill (Star Wars franchise, The Boy and the Heron), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows, The SpongeBob Movie franchise), and Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe winner Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible films, Pulp Fiction). The Wild Robot is a heartfelt story of self-discovery that explores the bridge between technology and nature in a compelling way and explores what it means to be alive and connected to the world around you. The film is written and directed by three-time Oscar® nominee Chris Sanders.
