The Official Unofficial is a free festival with live music at various locations in Rotterdam. You can see more than 50 performances by emerging artists.
The Official Unofficial is a two-day music festival that takes place at various locations in Rotterdam during the Left of the Dial weekend. During the day, the city turns into a collection of small showcases where you can discover emerging artists from the Netherlands and far beyond. What makes The Official Unofficial special is that every showcase is curated independently. It is often seen as part of Left of the Dial, but it is not organised or curated by Left of the Dial; festivals, bands, record labels, magazines, booking agencies and other music lovers choose for themselves which artists they would like to introduce to the public. As a result, every location has a unique line-up with its own atmosphere. And a not unimportant detail: It is completely free! You do not need wristbands or tickets; just drop by whenever you feel like it!
